The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) is an industry organisation financed by UK farmers and others in the agricultural supply chain to help the industry thrive in an ever-evolving world.

AHDB’s goal is to foster a top-tier food and farming industry that is both inspired by and competitive with the best.

AHDB Export Department supports British red meat exporters by establishing initial connections with potential buyers in international markets.

Our mission

Due to its statutory levy status, AHDB is categorised as a non-departmental public body (NDPB) and is sponsored by the UK’s Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA). For exports, AHDB emphasises priority markets, opens new global opportunities targeting international consumers and trade, and collaborating across government and industry sectors.
